No matter what you do always strive to be the best”.

About This Quote

No matter what you do always strive to be the best. No matter what you do always strive to be the best, it is important to strive to be the best. It is important not to lower your standards. And, it is also important to know that you are not perfect and it is okay not to strive to be the best.

Study after study has shown that people who strive to be the best in everything tend not to be very happy. The reason they are not happy is because they are always striving for perfection. And, perfection can never be achieved because we will always find better and better things in life. A few years ago I read a quote from somebody named Stephen Covey.

It was something like: “Every person can greatly improve his life by making an effective adjustment in his thinking and in the way he approaches tasks and relationships and by systematically applying a set of principles that we call “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” without having to adjust his lifestyle or work practices radically...” I never did find out who this person was, but I liked the quote enough that I took a picture of it and put it on my refrigerator when I got home from work one day. I still have that quote on my refrigerator today, but after finding out who Stephen Covey was, when I went looking for more information about him, I discovered that the quote wasn’t really original with him (and in fact it wasn’t original with Covey). Before Covey came along we had already heard this idea expressed in various ways: “Be all that you can be…” “Everybody should try their utmost…” “Don’t let others limit you…” There are so many quotes out there saying basically the same thing: “You should never settle for less than your best!” But none of them seemed quite as inspiring or inspiring as Stephen Covey did. So I did a little research on him and found a few things that were interesting: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People is a set of seven habits which have been used successfully by millions of people around the world for over thirty years now.

The book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People inspired many other books on similar subjects The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People has sold over 15 million copies worldwide, making it one of the top 100 books ever published
